A month and few days had passed and finally the much awaited result of the July 2010 Nursing Licensure Exam of the Philippines has been released today. 37, 679 among the 91,008 who took the exam was able to make it. The examinations were given in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Dagupan, Davao, Iloilo, La Union, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
According to inquirer.net, those who will register are required tobring: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 1 piece 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps, and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession; and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2010-2013.
These newly registered nurses would soon be facing the real world of nurses which is unfortunately having difficulty in acquiring hospital jobs. Experience wise, these hospitals are offering it but only through few months of trainings with pay and still there is no assurance that you will be hired afterwards. Some are just resorting to non-nursing related works such as being a call center agent.
