Adam Lambert says that he will not apologize for his AMA performance where most people got shocked at his explicit simulation of sexual acts, along with kissing his straight male keyboardist.

However, Lambert admits that he got carried away during the American Music Awards performance.

He defends that many female music performers does what he just did and they get away with it because they’re straight. The controversy was deeply rooted because he is openly gay.

In an interview on The Early Show, he says, “I admit I did get carried away, but I don’t see anything wrong with it. I do see how people got offended and that was not my intention. My intention was to interpret the lyrics of my song and have a good time with it.”
