Hannington Kutees, one of Big Brother Africa’s housemate has been forcedly evicted from the house after punching another female housemate, Lerato Sengadi. Everything started when the two has a heated argument. The incident happened Tuesday yet Kutees was allowed to remain inside the house until Friday.
Protests has been spurging from Sengadi’s family as well as from the women’s rights activists. Her family has been demanding the program management to remove Kutees at once. Friday came and it has been announced to the housemates Johannesburg that Kutees would be evicted. The TV show has provided counselling to both contestants after the incident.
As what has been posted in BBC News, Big Brother said he (Kutees) had “anger problems” and advised him to continue seeing a therapist while Ms Sengadi was also admonished for insulting Mr Kuteesa during a heated argument before the punch was thrown. She was banned from drinking alcohol and put on dishwashing duties for the remainder of the contest.
This the 5th season of Big Brother Africa and the show has been televised across the continent on satellite TV and some terrestrial channels, and considered to be one of the continent’s most popular reality TV programmes.
