iPod Touch users has been privileged to run vast number of applications in their device except for one thing, to make a call or send an SMS. If you want to do these, you must purchase a iPhone then. iPhone or iPod Touch would always be an Apple product and it is tantamount to the word “expensive” for a number of people especially in China.
Ever since, Chinese are known for being hardworking and fast learners. Moreover, a not so good notion has been tagged to them as people who can copy any gadget whatever brand it made be. They call these products as “China Made”. Mind you, these prototypes are far cheaper compared to the original ones.
Now here comes the issue on iPod Touch, a 22 year old Chinese developer was able to make a similar device but has added the lacking feature which is the ability to call. The gadget is named Apple Peel 520, the iPod Touch that can call. This chinese programmer lives in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen, the place wherein there is a massive production of copycat mobile phones and other devices, which are sold at lower prices and often with more localized functionality than global brands.
This device costs $57 only, which is far cheaper compared to iPhone ($588 – $740) and iPod Touch ($235). As what has been posted in CNN, the Apple Peel 520 case contains a battery, dock connector and SIM card that allows voice calls. Users will also have to install special software to enable a text messaging function, and to allow the device to properly work with the iPod Touch. To receive updates from WWNN.co.uk directly to your e-mail, you can subscribe to us for free by entering your e-mail address here and confirming your subscription by clicking the link that will be sent to your e-mail address.
