David Beckham is one of the sought after football star in the world. He is from the England Team and has been so popular in the world. He obtained an injury in his Achilles Tendon during a practice game last Sunday against Serie A league opponents Chievo.

“I am very sad for David that he has suffered this injury,” he said in a statement. “We have to wait for the results of the scan, but it looks like he is out of the World Cup”, said Fabio Capello, the manager of the England team.

When you have Achilles Tendon injury, depending on the severity, the tendon Achilles ruptures — a tearing of the tissue connecting the heel to lower leg muscles — can take up to 12 months to heal, with physiotherapists advising weeks of rest before resuming even light exercise. If that so, Beckham really can’t make it to the World Cup in Africa.
