An earthquake with magnitude of 7.0 has hit Haiti, Tuesday afternoon. The earthquake has been so strong that a hospital has collapsed and lots of other buildings, damaged.

The Haiti earthquake was centered about 14 miles (22 kilometers) west from the capital of Port-au-Prince, this is according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Moreover, the US Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said that there is a possibility of a local tsunami that could affect “coasts located usually no more than a 100km [60 miles] from the earthquake epicenter”.

A tsunami watch is now in effect for Haiti, Dominican Republic, Cuba and the Bahamas.
