First off, these cards most of the time charges fees in claiming unemployment benefits. These are charges which are not supposed to even be there in the first place. What is the logic of even charging someone who had been kicked out of work and is seeking another employment? Silly indeed.

In June 20, the Fayetteville Observer reported that administrative fees plague unemployed consumers who can ill afford to pay. Instead of easing the payment method for state benefits, the card even made the payment harder and more taxing for those claiming such benefits.

The ATM card-style distribution system was designed to make it easy for the unemployed to access their benefits money. Unfortunately, numerous media reports have indicated that the program failed to go off without a hitch.

What’s worst with the EPPICard, is that when you try to call their customer service about the problems with your card, they will charge you for doing that. So far, 19 states use the EPPICard cash payday system, and most of those using it have experience difficulty in the system.

Many said and suggested that a return to paper checks and direct deposit will be more convenient and economical.

Terry Jones, a fundamental Christian factor and founder of the Dove World Outreach Center is not only planning to burn Qur’ans but also asked people to burn Qur’ans as well.

“We believe that Islam is of the devil, that it’s causing billions of people to go to hell, it is a deceptive religion, it is a violent religion and that is proven many, many times,” Jones told CNN’s Rick Sanchez.

A Facebook page dedicated to the “International Burn a Koran Day” Facebook page states “On September 11th, 2010, from 6pm – 9pm, we will burn the Koran on the property of Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, FL in remembrance of the fallen victims of 9/11 and to stand against the evil of Islam. Islam is of the devil!”.

This statement itself is lunacy. How can such a violence even be worth doing in commemoration of the hundreds of people who died in the 9/11 attacks? These people should all be imprisoned and jailed or even put in a mental institution.

What’s more ridiculous is that a member of the Dove World Outreach Center by the name of Wayne Sapp, posted a Youtube video explaining why and how to burn a Quran.

The general secretary of the National Council of Churches, Rev. Dr. Michael Kinnamon already informed the public “that millions of Americans reject the anti-Muslim expressions of some communities who seem to be reacting out of fear and a misunderstanding of the true nature of Islam.”

This act will not accomplish anything and we hope that these people will come to their senses and reconsider. We also hope that Muslims around the world will exercise sobriety and understanding that this is not a consolidated act but an act of a lunatic group whose understanding of faith had gone haywire.

The USA team showed some good moves this time but not to belittle them because the matchup was really a mismatch. “At the end of the day, I am responsible for everything that has transpired,” Aquino said in an interview with reporters in Manila.

President Aquino III also explained the roles of DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo and Undersecretary Rico Puno. The two are being grilled in an ongoing investigation regarding the incident, Robredo however is part of the investigating panel headed by DOJ Secretary Leila Delima.

Aquino said that Robredo was tasked with strengthening the Local Government Units (LGUs) while Puno is tasked with handling the police and security. With this pronouncement the blame is effectively transferred to Puno who is tasked and responsible for incidents like this.

It would be a courageous act for the President of the Philippines to take responsibility however Chinese and Hong Kong officials are demanding far more than that, they wanted a public pology from the Philippine government.

One of the latest show of discontent by Hong Kong and Chinese officials is the eventual exclusion of Filipinos from the Miss Asia Beauty Pageant 2010.

As for the current investigation, some irresponsible actions were identified like the transfer of the command center to a nearby restaurant and ordered by Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim. I have watched the investigation and his reason on why the command center was transferred was really lame at best.

An investigator of the crime scene also slipped by saying that at least 4 of the hostages were killed during the assault and probably by friendly fire.
