A hair extension company filed a lawsuit against Paris Hilton for allegedly wearing its rival’s product while still under their contract in 2008. Hairtech International Inc said that the 29-year-old Hilton breached her contract to wear and promote their product.

They also made mention that the socialite’s party-filled lifestyle goes against its marketing campaign. They are demanding for $35m (£22.4m) in damages which is reportedly 10 times what Hilton was originally paid. The company also lost $6.6m (£4.2m) for her failure to appear in the company’s launch party to celebrate the line in hair extensions back in 2007. During this time, Hilton was in prison. She served 23 days after she was twice caught driving on a suspended licence while on probation for reckless driving.

In 2008 also, a similar lawsuit was also filed against her but this time it was from the producers of National Lampoon’s Pledge This! Same grounds has been cited and it is on her failure to properly promote the comedy.

Paris has been known to be a happy go lucky person and has been involved in a lot intrigues in her life. She has been so popular and was just lucky enough to be born from a rich and influential family. It is in no doubt that a lot of companies would hire her to promote their products with a corresponding pay of course. Paris should be sensitive enough to pay back and do her job well.
