Puss in Boots: The Story of an Ogre Killer Premieres November 2011 – Antonio Banderas’ character in the movie Shrek, Puss in Boots will be returning to the big screen and in 3D next year. DreamWorks Animation decided to make a spin-off of the character and reveal his past.
Puss in Boots is an original character made by Charles Perrault in 1697. Puss in Boots was called by many other names like “Master Cat”, “Le Maistre Chat”, “ou Le Chat Botté”, or literally “The Booted Cat.” There were also about four films already which featured Puss in Boots, the latest was the 2009 film entitled “The True Story of Puss in Boots” or “La véritable histoire du Chat Botté” which is released in France, Belgium and Switzerland.
The new movie, Puss in Boots: The Story of an Ogre Killer will be released on November 4, 2011 and will feature Puss in Boots as he tells the tale of his early adventures. He teams with mastermind, Humpty Dumpty and the street-savvy Kitty to steal the famed Goose that lays the Golden Eggs that could make Puss and his counterparts rich.
New stars for the film includes Salma Hayek as Kitty, Puss’s female counterpart and love interest, she is a black and white cat; Zach Galifianakis as Humpty Dumpty, the mastermind who intends on retrieving the Golden Eggs from the one-of-a-kind Goose; and Zeus Mendoza as Rancher.
