Ramadan 2010: Taraveeh Prayers (Tahajjud Prayers) Night 7 and 8 – Today is the seventh day of the month long fasting for Muslims known as the Ramadan. We have modified the posting since as indicated in a reference that Taraweeh Prayers should begin on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 9:30 pm. Thus today we provide Taraweeh Prayers (Tahajjud Prayers) for Night 7 and Night 8
Ramadan is the nint month of the Islamic calendar and it is known as the Islamic month of fasting. The official start of Ramadan is determined by the Hilal moon or the crescent moon sighting. During this month participating Muslims refrain from eating and drinking from dawn until sunset.
Ramdan and fasting is intended to teach Muslims about patience, humility and spirituality.
In our continued support for our Muslim brothers and sisters we bring again the Taraweeh Prayers (Tahajjud Prayers) intended for night 7 and night 8 of the Ramadan.
