They were the first African nation to win a World Cup game on their own continent and thanks to the late penalty kick of Asamoah Gyan that made that happen. Ghana defeated Serbia 1-0 in the first match for Group D.

Serbia who is also looking for a historic win in their World Cup debut are just not ready to go against the stronger Ghana team. “This is all I have worked for,” Gyan said, “and to be man of the match, it is fantastic.”

The whole crowd was jubilant as they see their fellow African win over their opponents. However, Ghana likewise had been the strongest African football team and might even be stronger than Egypt now.

After getting the win the whole team ran across the field in jubilation for their triumphant win, some of them even carried their national flag. It was not only a victory they say for Ghana but for the whole African nation.
