The 2010 World Cup draw just finished and the A1 and A2 slots went to South Africa and Mexico. Meanwhile, the England opens their WC bid against the US for Group C.

Other interesting matches include Group G where Brazil will face the unknown team of North Korea while Portugal will face the top African team of the Ivory Coast.

England coach Fabio Capello is now excited for his group and says he is ready to face United States, Algeria and Slovenia.

Ironically, David Beckham, who now plays for the Los Angeles Galaxy, was the one who pulled out the ball which paired up the US and England – a first since 1950 where the US won 1-0.

this looks to be an interesting match for sure. A host nation have never failed to go through to the second round, on the other hand, Mexico look the stronger team. Looking forward to it and of course to Brazil v South Korea. Any guesses at a scoreline for that one?
