South Africa wants to fire their athletic chief  | read this item

The government of South Africa has demanded that athletics chief Leonard Chuene be kicked off from his job after he admitted that he lied about Caster Semenya’s gender. Tests were implemented to the South African runner before her 800-meter world title win in August, which Chuene denied.

IAAF ordered its own tests after the Berlin championships, as a result, he expressed outrage.

South Africa deputy sports minister demanded Athletics South Africa to fire Chuene. Gert Oosthuizen said that “If they fail to do so, they run the risk of being led by a liar,”.

When Chuene admitted lying about his knowledge of tests conducted on Semenya ahead of the athletics World Championships in Berlin last month, his team and colleagues was shocked.

The IAAF ordered more tests following that victory. Which we understand are likely to show Semenya has an intersex status, exhibiting both male and female sex characteristics.
