Tiger Woods Drops Bid at the Barclays Golf Tournament 2010 – After a great performance at Round 1, Tiger Woods is back to his old sluggish self and made some bad shots during Round 2 of the Barclays Golf Tournament 2010. Woods shot’s were either par or bogeys and this placed him at number 14 with 2 over par for 138.

Vaughn Taylor who shares the lead with Tiger Woods on the opening day is still very much in contention. He is at number 2 tied with Kevin Steelman with 7 under 135. The new leader which emerged on Round 2 after shooting three straight birdies was Jason Day. Observers say that it is really Jason’s Day during the Round 2 of the Barclays Golf Tournament 2010.

Phil Mickelson who is in contention to replace Tiger Woods as the number 1 golf player had missed the cut and for the ninth time missed the chance to replace Woods.

Tiger Woods is still in contention and if he performs well he might just have a chance at this tournament. Woods still has to improve his FedEx Cup rankings and get a shot to win the cup. Woods had been performing badly all year round and is still looking for a game changer.

Tiger Woods is also aiming for a slot at the US Ryder Cup Team as one of the Captain’s pick and if he hopes to have that he must indeed improve his game. The American selection will be officially announced on September 7.
