Tonight is the much awaited 2010 MTV Video Music Awards (VMA Awards 2010) which will take place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles starting 8PM Central. This year, Chelsea Handler will host the VMA’s 2010.

Leading the nominees, which was announced last August 3, is Lady Gaga with 18 which includes nominations for her collaboration with Beyoncé for “Video Phone”. With this, she has become the the most-nominated artist in VMA history for a single year.

Moreover, she is also first female solo artist to get two nominations for Video of the Year as both “Bad Romance” and “Telephone” are nominated for the award.

In second is rap artist, Eminem with 8 nominations for “Not Afraid” and a nomination shared with Drake for “Forever”. Meanwhile, last year’s big winner, Beyoncé has 5 nominations this year with 3 of them she shares with Lady Gaga for “Telephone”.

The VMA Awards 2010 performers this year include Justin Bieber, B.o.B featuring Hayley Williams and Bruno Mars, Drake featuring Mary J. Blige and Swizz Beatz, Eminem, Florence and the Machine, Linkin Park, Paramore, Usher and last year’s headline maker for the VMA, Kanye West.
